A LEADER SEES REALITY, NOT AS IT IS, BUT HOW IT MIGHT BE
In 1995, Bill Hybels and the Willow Creek Association saw leadership development in the local church, not as it was, but how it might be! They understood the challenges that church leaders face: casting compelling vision, recruiting teams, encouraging innovation, and creating life-changing community.
That’s why they created a brand new event for church leaders called The Leadership Summit that was designed to:
-
Sharpen and develop the skills of church leaders
-
Urge and equip those with leadership gifts to stand up and lead
The Summit was created not just for the sake of developing leaders, but to equip leaders in the Church to better reach people far from God and turn them into fully devoted followers of Christ.
Now, 11 years later, in North America the Summit has grown from 1 site to over 100 sites linked via satellite and over 50,000 participants. And for the first time in 2005, The Global Leadership Summit brought together via videocast 14,000 people in 22 cities and 9 countries, making it the largest, leadership training event in the world focused on the Church.
In 2006, the Global Summit is expanding to more cities and countries with another extraordinary line up of speakers that will inspire, motivate, and challenge all who attend to raise their leadership and to follow the Romans 12:8 command “to lead with all diligence”. This is an event you and your team simply cannot miss. But for the sake of your team and the Kingdom, make sure you don’t come alone!
